How we look after your information. Last updated 26 September 2026.
This page explains what information Clia...with Love collects, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us. It is written to be read. If anything is unclear, write to be@cliawithlove.com.
Who we are
The controller of your information is Clia...with Love, K-Works, Short Quay, Kinsale, P17 HR12, Ireland. You can reach us at be@cliawithlove.com.
What we collect, and why
When you visit the site. We collect no personal information from a visit. Our analytics (see Cookies, below) count visits without identifying you.
When you subscribe to The Elements or ask for the Guides. Your email address, so that we can send you what you asked for. We rely on your consent, which you give by entering your email and pressing the button, and which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
When you leave your email for The Practice's founding list. Your email address, and the state you chose if you arrived from one of the five cards, so that we can write to you once when The Practice opens. We rely on your consent. We send nothing else to this list.
When you join The Practice. Your email address and a way to sign you in; your payment, which is taken by Stripe (we never see your card number); your Sensory Signature, which is the set of answers you give when you join about how you take the world in, how your body likes to move, what you find restful and how your mind is running; the states you choose and the practices you are given; your Feel Good Now Journal, including anything you write in it; and the hour you choose for your daily email. We rely on our contract with you to provide The Practice for most of this. For the health information in your Signature, see the next section.
When you book a session with Clia. Your email address and what you tell us about what you are looking for, so that we can reply; and, before a first session, a client form, which is kept separately and is not part of the website.
Health information and your explicit consent
Part of your Sensory Signature asks about things that affect which practices are safe to offer you: for example, whether you are pregnant, and whether you have epilepsy or high blood pressure. It also invites you to tell us, in your own words, anything else we should know. This is health information, and under data protection law it needs your explicit consent, which we ask for on the page where you answer. You do not have to answer any of these questions; if you leave one blank we will simply be more cautious in what we offer. You can change or delete any answer at any time on your Signature page, and every three months we ask you to look them over. Your own words are shown back to you exactly as you wrote them, and we never add to them or draw conclusions from them.
How practices are written, and who sees your information
The practices you receive in The Practice are written for you with artificial intelligence, within a method and set of rules written by a qualified aromatherapist, and each one is checked automatically against those rules before you see it. To write them, the parts of your Signature that matter for the practice, the state you chose, the hour, and the practices you were recently given are sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model we use. Anthropic processes this to write the practices and does not use it to train its models. Your name and email address are not sent.
Who helps us
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each acts on our instructions under a written contract and does not use your information for its own purposes.
Vercel hosts the website and the app. Supabase stores your account, your Signature, your Journal and your practices, on servers in Ireland. Stripe takes your payment; your card details go to Stripe directly and we never hold them. Resend sends our emails: The Elements, the Guides, and the daily and evening emails to members. PostHog counts visits and how the site is used, without cookies and without identifying you. Anthropic provides the AI model that writes your practices, as described above.
Where any of these companies processes information outside the European Union, we rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone else, except where the law requires.
Cookies
The site uses one cookie, which keeps you signed in to The Practice once you have joined. It is strictly necessary and needs no consent. We set no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. Our analytics work without them.
How long we keep things
The Elements and the Guides: until you unsubscribe. The founding list: until The Practice opens and we have written to you, and then for thirty days, after which it is deleted unless you have joined. Your account, Signature, Journal and practices: for as long as you are a member, and for thirty days after your membership ends, so that you can return without starting again; after that they are deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. Records of payments: for as long as tax law requires, which in Ireland is six years. A record of each practice written, kept for quality checking: twelve months, then deleted or made anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; ask us to stop using it in a particular way; ask for a copy in a form you can take elsewhere; and withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without it affecting anything done before. To do any of these, write to be@cliawithlove.com. We will answer within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.
Children
The Practice and the site are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will tell members by email and change the date at the top.
