Terms

These terms apply to the website at cliawithlove.com, to The Practice membership, and to the emails we send. By using the site or joining The Practice you agree to them. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, write to be@cliawithlove.com.

Who we are

Clia...with Love, K-Works, Short Quay, Kinsale, P17 HR12, Ireland. In these terms, "we" means Clia...with Love and "you" means the person using the site or holding the membership.

What we offer

The website offers information about Sensory Alchemy, and lets you receive the emails and guides you ask for. The Practice is a paid membership that gives you: a Sensory Signature, which you complete when you join; practices written for you every time you choose a state; the Feel Good Now Journal; a daily email at the hour you choose and an evening email; and the other features described on The Practice page at the time you join. We add to The Practice over time and we may change how a feature works; we will not remove a feature you were sold without telling you and giving you the right to cancel.

How practices are written

The practices you receive in The Practice are written for you with artificial intelligence. They are written within a method and a set of rules developed by a qualified aromatherapist, and each one is checked automatically against those rules before you see it. They are not individually reviewed by a person before they reach you. Every practice is an invitation to consider, never an instruction. If a practice does not look right to you, tell us at be@cliawithlove.com and we will look at it. The blends are Clia's own formulations and are not written by artificial intelligence.

What The Practice is not

The Practice, the practices, the Guides, The Elements and everything else on the site are for everyday self-care. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not a substitute for a doctor. For persistent symptoms, sharp pain or anything worrying, see a doctor. If you have a health condition or are pregnant, speak to your doctor before using essential oils. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line; The Practice cannot help you in an emergency. You are responsible for deciding whether a practice is suitable for you, and for using essential oils safely, including following the dilution and safety guidance in the Guides.

Joining, paying and renewing

You must be at least eighteen to join. The Practice costs €8.99 a month or €79 a year. Founding members, the first one hundred, pay €59 a year for as long as their membership continues without a break. Prices include VAT where it applies and are shown in euro; your bank or card may convert them to your own currency.

Your first week is free. When you join we take your card details and charge nothing until the eighth day. We tell you the date and amount of your first charge when you join and remind you before it is taken. If you cancel before the first charge, you pay nothing. A founding place is held for you from the day you join, at the founding rate, and is released if you cancel before the first charge or if that charge fails.

After the first charge, payment is taken by Stripe automatically at the start of each month or year, until you cancel. If a payment fails we will tell you and try again; if it still fails after fourteen days, your membership pauses until it succeeds. We may change the price for new members at any time; for existing members, we will give at least thirty days' notice by email before any change takes effect, and you may cancel before it does. A founding member's rate does not change while her membership continues.

Cancelling, and changing your mind

You can cancel at any time from your account page or by writing to be@cliawithlove.com. Cancelling stops the next payment; your membership continues to the end of the month or year you have already paid for and then ends, and we do not refund the unused part of a period except as set out here. If a founding member cancels and later returns, she returns at the price then current.

Separately, if you cancel within fourteen days of the day you joined, we refund your first charge in full, whatever the reason. This is our policy. If you live in the European Union you also have a legal right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days, which our policy meets or exceeds; nothing here reduces that right. To use either, write to be@cliawithlove.com within the fourteen days; any clear statement is enough. Refunds go to the card you paid with within fourteen days of your message.

Your account and your Journal

Your account is yours and is not to be shared. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. Your Journal and your Signature are yours: you can read, change, download and delete them at any time, and when your membership ends we keep them for thirty days in case you return, then delete them, as set out in our Privacy page.

Using the site and the emails

You may use the site, the practices, the Guides and The Elements for your own personal use. You may not copy, sell or republish them, or use them to build a competing service. The blends, the practices, the state cards, the words Sensory Alchemy and Feel Good Now, and everything else on the site are ours or licensed to us. You may share a link to anything on the site, and forward an edition of The Elements to a friend.

Ending or suspending membership

We may suspend or end your membership if you break these terms, if you use the service abusively, or if a payment cannot be taken. If we end it for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.

Our responsibility

We provide the site and The Practice with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, for loss arising from your use of essential oils or from any practice you choose to do, or for the site being unavailable for reasons outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects members, we will tell you by email at least thirty days before the change takes effect, and you may cancel before it does. Continuing your membership after that date means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you are a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of your own country's law where it cannot be taken away. Disputes may be brought in the Irish courts, or in the courts of the EU country where you live. You may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
